The 4th Generation MrCool DIY 18K BTU 2-Zone Ductless Heat Pump Condenser is the latest in heat pump technology. This 2-zone condenser, when paired with select MrCool air handlers, is capable of producing an impressive 21 SEER efficiency rating. It also has the ability to heat even when temperatures drop to -13°F. State certified or licensed HVAC contractor not required for warranty on the DIY series units. (Always check your local laws.)


*NOTE: In order to qualify for the LIMITED LIFETIME compressor warranty, the unit must be registered at the web address below within 60 days of the installation date and the original, registered owner must also enroll in the MrCool Care program within 4 months from the installation date, which has an biannual fee to be covered by the owner.

I ordered my MrCool system from Dave & Carla at Skyway Mini-splits after failing to get a response from a vendor with a much greater profile online. They answered the phone, a big plus right there. They have been very responsive and helpful when I called with questions. As for the MrCool units, they are working well and I am very pleased. The only problem is with the water drainage from the compressor, the drain fitting does not capture it all, I am having to make a pan under the unit to catch the water. This is only a problem because the compressor is located on a wooden porch rather than on concrete or earth.
